Why is your kennel not open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm like some of the
There are a number of reasons that we limit our hours.
First of all, we are not a big kennel. We are a small family-run kennel.
The people serving you on the front desk are the same people who are caring
for your pets in the back. For that reason, we have tried to schedule our hours
to be generous enough for our people clients and allow us time to spend
with our animal clients. We could hire more staff, raise our rates and open longer
hours, however that is not the vision we have for our kennel. It is important for us to
remain small and offer personal service.
Secondly, most animals settle well into a kennel routine, but a constant coming and
going of strange people and pets can be disruptive. By limiting our hours for signing
in and checking out, we allow quiet time for our guests to settle and relax in a quiet
What to Bring:
Please bring proof of vaccination and enough food for your pet's stay (plus a day or two extra). Toys and beds are welcome, however make sure they are not favourites as safe return of these items is not guaranteed.Treats are also welcome, but please no rawhides or bones.
Do not bring bowls, as we have stainless steel bowls for your use.
What vaccinations do you require?
We require the core vaccines (DHPP), Rabies and Bordetella. Vaccines must be administered at least 14 days before boarding. Sorry, no exceptions.
I phoned several times, but keep getting the answering machine.
How do I get to talk to someone?
Again, the reason you get the answering machine is because we are a small kennel so we do not have a designated receptionist. The person answering the phone and greeting you and your dog when you come in is the same one who will be caring for your dog during his/her stay. I may be right there hearing the phone ring but maybe I am bathing a dog or am in the back with the other dogs, in which case it would be too noisy for me to pick up. Please do not hesitate to leave a message and I will return your call.
